The AOK Network is a group of social services providers in Stephenson County who meet monthly to address community issues as they relate to the early childhood service system. Current issues include reducing the number of mothers who use substances during pregnancy in turn reducing the number of babies born drug exposed; ensuring mothers experiencing post partum depression receive services as soon as possible; working with school districts to build literacy skills in pre-k children; and ensuring children are reading at grade level by 3rd grade.
